Follow these steps in order. Portfolio Margin must be active before you create the keys: a key created earlier can’t get the trading permission it needs.
1
In the BIT Prime Brokerage portal, open Accounts → Open Account. On the CEFI tab, choose Application next to Binance, then set:
  • Account’s Type: where it’s offered, the type the strategy needs, such as Portfolio Margin on Binance
  • Custody: Binance with no external Custody
  • Account’s Api: Create API by yourself
Choose Confirm and complete the verification. BIT usually approves the sub-account within a day. Then, in Accounts → My Accounts, choose Login Info on its row for the sub-account’s login, and log in to it for the steps below.
The other custody options, such as Ceffu, Copper or Oasis, are only needed if you’re taking out a loan through BIT. If you are, ask BIT which one to choose, and make sure every sub-account you apply for is in the same risk control unit (RCU): confirm both with your BIT contact.
2

Check Portfolio Margin is on

In the sub-account, open the USDⓈ-M futures page, then the settings icon in the top bar. On the Features tab, open Account Mode: Portfolio Margin should be marked Current Mode. If it isn’t, ask BIT to activate it before you create the keys.
3

Set one-way mode

On the same page, check the margin badge above the order form reads Cross. Then in settings, on the Features tab, open Position Mode and choose One-way Mode.
4

Create the read-only key

In Blockhouse, on the Binance tab of the Credentials step, choose Copy → Space on the Read-only API IPs.On Binance, in the sub-account, open the profile menu → API Management → Create API, choose System generated and Next, enter a label such as Blockhouse read-only, and complete the security verification. Paste the API Key and Secret Key into Read-only API Key and Read-only API Secret in Blockhouse straight away: Binance doesn’t show the secret in full again. Then choose Edit restrictions: leave only Enable Reading ticked, choose Restrict access to trusted IPs only, paste the IPs and choose Confirm. Choose Save and complete the verification again. In Blockhouse, tick IPs are whitelisted for read-only API.
5

Create the trading key

In Blockhouse, choose Copy → Space on the Trading API IPs, then create a second key on Binance the same way, with a label such as Blockhouse trading, and paste it into Trading API Key and Trading API Secret. In Edit restrictions, choose Restrict access to trusted IPs only, paste the IPs and choose Confirm first: Binance only allows trading permissions on a key restricted to trusted IPs. Then tick:
  • Enable Spot & Margin & Stock Trading
  • Enable Portfolio Margin Trading
Leave every other permission off, including Enable Margin Loan, Repay & Transfer and Permits Universal Transfer, so your funds stay in your control. Choose Save, complete the verification, and in Blockhouse tick IPs are whitelisted for trading API.
6

Finish in Blockhouse

In the BIT Prime Brokerage portal, open Accounts → My Accounts. In the Sub-account List, copy the Account Number for Binance, for example 1234567__000001. In Blockhouse, on the Binance tab, enter it in BIT account number for Binance.Check that every key field on the tab is filled in and both IP boxes are ticked. Set up any other exchange from the BIT guide, then submit the Credentials step.
