These are the exchange and prime broker problems that their own messages and help pages don’t explain. If yours isn’t here, contact support@blockhouse.capital. For messages in the Blockhouse setup itself, see Troubleshooting: opening an account.

Exchanges

Binance

Binance only allows trading permissions on a key restricted to IP addresses, and only once Portfolio Margin is active. Restrict the key to the Trading API IPs. A key created before Portfolio Margin was active can’t get the trading permission, so create a new one.
Both need a sub-account with no open positions or orders. Portfolio Margin also can’t be switched on with open loans, Multi-Assets mode or isolated margin. Close or switch those off, then try again. You can also activate it from inside the sub-account: futures settings → Account Mode → Portfolio Margin Mode.
On Binance, only the main account can move funds in and out of a sub-account, so make the transfer from your main account.

Bybit

Bybit expires keys in two cases: a key without an IP restriction expires after three months, and changing your login password expires existing keys within seven days. Create new keys restricted to their IP lists and update them in Blockhouse.
Bybit can’t switch a pair that has an open position or order. Close the position or cancel the order, then try again.
New accounts use only USDT and USDC as collateral. To use other coins, turn them on under Used As Collateral on the Unified Trading page.

OKX

The first switch needs at least 10,000 USD of account equity and a short knowledge test, and it must be done on the website or app, not by API. Fund the sub-account, then try again.
Auto-borrow is only available in Multi-currency margin and Portfolio margin modes. Switch the sub-account to Multi-currency margin first.
OKX can’t change position mode while the account has open orders or positions. Cancel the orders and close the positions, then try again.
OKX deletes a key that has Trade permission and no IP restriction after 14 days of inactivity. Create a new trading key restricted to the Trading API IPs and update it in Blockhouse.

Bitget

Upgrading needs no open positions, loans or orders, and no pending futures orders, in that account.
Cancel any open orders, close positions and repay loans, then try again.
Neither can change with an open position or pending order. Close positions and cancel orders, then try again. Bitget defaults to hedge mode, so switch to one-way before any position is opened.

Prime brokers

BIT

BIT only transfers between two exchange accounts when both are bound to the same risk control unit, or neither is. Your BIT contact can check this.

LTP

LTP shows the secret only once, for about ten minutes. Delete the key and create a new one.
LTP can’t change a key’s scope after it’s created. Create a new key with the scope All Accounts (user-level API access).
Keys created on the exchange for a DMA sub-account can’t make LTP transfers. Create the key in the LTP client instead, under Account → API Management.

Bequant

Ask your Bequant Support Rep to check the account is set up, and for its account name.
Only users with full access rights can create keys. Use an account that has them, or ask a user who has them to create the key.
Bequant PRO (prime brokerage) and the Bequant exchange at bequant.io are separate products with separate keys. Create the key in Bequant PRO.

FalconX

New FalconX keys wait for FalconX’s approval before they work, and FalconX only accepts requests from IP addresses allowlisted on the key. Allow time for the approval, and check that your Account Admin added the Transfer API IPs to the key.
FalconX can’t recover a lost passphrase. Get a new key from your FalconX customer success contact or Account Admin, have the Transfer API IPs added to it, and update it in Blockhouse.
