# Verify with Keyring

> A one-time identity check, through Keyring, before your wallet can deposit.

The panel shows **KYC/KYB required** until your wallet holds a Keyring [credential](https://docs.blockhouse.app/reference/glossary.md#credential-keyring). You do this once per wallet.

**1. Install Keyring Connect**

On desktop Chrome, Brave or Edge, choose **Install extension**, or add [Keyring Connect from the Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/keyring-connect/jgogeidclfccfoedhfjjaclnaojcllpi), then come back to the vault page. Keyring's guide to [installing the extension](https://docs.keyring.network/connect/extension/installing) explains each permission it asks for.

**2. Generate your proof**

Choose **Generate proof**. In Keyring's side panel, accept Keyring's terms, choose **Individual** or **Business**, then choose the account you're verified with and sign in to it. Keyring then checks your KYC/KYB status with that exchange.

The check can take a few minutes, and you can keep using your computer meanwhile. When it passes, the panel moves to the last step.

Keyring's guide to [creating a proof](https://docs.keyring.network/connect/extension/creating-a-proof) walks through its side panel.

Signing in to an account isn't shown" />

**3. Create your credential**

Choose **Create credential** and confirm in your wallet. Once it confirms, usually in under a minute, the panel shows the deposit form again.

Credentials expire after a set period. The panel then shows **Renew verification**, and renewing is quicker than the first time.
