# Troubleshooting: the vault

> What each vault message means, and what to do.

Most messages in the vault panel say what to do next; these need more explanation. If yours isn't here, we're happy to help at [support@blockhouse.capital](mailto:support@blockhouse.capital).

## Connecting a wallet

> **“Not available in your region”**
>
> Deposits aren't offered where you are, due to regulations.
>
> Withdrawals, claims, and executing or cancelling an existing request are never blocked by region. To reach your funds, connect from the **Redeem** tab, or with **Connect wallet** at the top of the page.

> **“No wallet found in this browser.” or my wallet isn't listed**
>
> The picker lists the wallets installed in this browser, plus options that need no extension, such as Coinbase Wallet. MetaMask, Rabby, Rainbow, Phantom, OKX Wallet and Bitget Wallet show a **Get** link until installed. Install your wallet's browser extension, then reload the page.

> **“This wallet is a smart contract, which cannot accept the terms here.”**
>
> Smart-contract wallets, such as a Safe or Coinbase Smart Wallet, sign in a form we can't check, and vault transactions can't be sent from them here yet either. Connect a wallet with its own key, such as MetaMask or Rabby.

## Verifying with Keyring

The panel shows **KYC/KYB required** and three steps. Your message is the line under the current step, or the panel's title if no steps show.

> **“Verification needs a desktop browser”**
>
> Keyring runs as a browser extension for Chrome, Brave or Edge, which phones and tablets can't install. Open the vault page in one of those browsers on a computer.

> **I installed Keyring Connect, but the panel still asks me to install it**
>
> The page looks for the extension for five minutes after you choose **Install extension**. If you installed it after that, reload the page.

> **Keyring's side panel didn't open, or I closed it**
>
> If nothing appeared after **Generate proof**, the extension may be turned off or not allowed on this site. Check it in your browser's extension settings, then choose **Generate proof** again.
>
> If you closed the panel, Keyring keeps your place: choose **Open Keyring panel** to reopen it.

> **“Verification is being updated”**
>
> Pareto changed how the vault checks verification, and we're reviewing the change before asking anyone to verify. Try again later.

> **“This vault is not available to you”**
>
> Keyring couldn't verify this wallet against Pareto's policy for the vault. Other strategies on Blockhouse are unaffected. The panel offers no retry; if you think this is a mistake, please [contact us](https://docs.blockhouse.app/reference/get-help.md) and we'll look into it.

## Depositing

> **“Insufficient USDC”**
>
> The wallet holds less USDC on Ethereum than the amount; the line under the button shows its balance. Enter a smaller amount, or add USDC on Ethereum mainnet to the wallet.

> **“Opens after this cycle” or “Deposits paused”**
>
> * **Opens after this cycle**: a lending cycle is running, and the vault takes deposits only between cycles.
> * **Deposits paused**: the vault has paused deposits.
>
> Try again when deposits reopen. If your wallet isn't verified yet, you can verify in the panel meanwhile.

> **“Deposits closed” or “Temporarily unavailable”**
>
> * **Deposits closed**: the vault is in default and isn't taking deposits. Try again later, or [contact us](https://docs.blockhouse.app/reference/get-help.md).
> * **Temporarily unavailable**: the vault's contract was upgraded. We don't send transactions to a contract we haven't reviewed, so deposits are paused here until we have. Try again later.

> **The review shows one signature, not two**
>
> An approval you gave earlier already covers this amount, so **Approve USDC** is skipped. This is expected.

> **A step has been “Confirming on Ethereum” for a long time**
>
> A line under the step says why:
>
> * “Taking longer than usual …”: the network is busy, and it's safe to wait.
> * “This can’t confirm …”: your wallet sent it after transactions the network never received. Clear pending transactions in your wallet, or reset its nonce, then start again.
> * “The network no longer has this transaction …”: it was dropped or replaced. Check your wallet's activity, and start again if it didn't go through.

> **“Waiting for confirmation”**
>
> The transaction was sent but hasn't confirmed. **Try again** waits for that same transaction and never sends a second one. To hurry it, speed it up in your wallet. If the panel says Ethereum has no record of it and your wallet shows it failed or was dropped, choose **My wallet shows it failed or was dropped**, then **Try again**.

> **“This already went through”**
>
> A deposit for the same amount confirmed a moment ago, and nothing new was sent. Check your position first. If you do want a second deposit, choose **Send it again**.

## Senior and Junior

> **“Market paused”, “Tranche closed” or “Temporarily unavailable”**
>
> * **Market paused**: Royco has paused this market. Requests reopen when it's unpaused.
> * **Tranche closed**: this tranche isn't accepting requests right now.
> * **Temporarily unavailable**: Royco upgraded its contract or changed how the tranche is set up, and we're re-checking it. Senior and Junior are paused here until then.
>
> Try again later, or choose another position.

> **“Opens after this cycle” when paying in USDC**
>
> The Bedrock vault takes USDC only between lending cycles. If you already hold Bedrock shares, choose **Use Bedrock shares instead**. Otherwise, wait for the cycle to end.

> **“Ready in …” or “Still waiting”**
>
> Royco holds every tranche request for a waiting period before you can execute it; the review showed how long. **Your position** shows **Ready to execute** when it's time, and **Remind me** next to the request adds a calendar reminder.

> **“Expired”**
>
> The request wasn't executed in time, so it can now only be cancelled. Your shares aren't lost: choose **Cancel** next to it under **Your position** to get them back.

> **“Finish your … deposit”**
>
> A USDC deposit into a tranche stopped partway. If your USDC is already in the Bedrock vault as shares, choose **Continue to Senior** or **Continue to Junior** to move them in, or **Keep them on Base**.
>
> If the message ends with an amount of USDC, nothing has left your wallet yet: choose **Continue** or **Discard**.

> **“Checking your …” or “We could not confirm your …”**
>
> The page is waiting for a transaction it sent earlier, or found one it can't match, so it won't repeat it. If you didn't sign, or you sped up or cancelled the transaction in your wallet, choose **Stop waiting** or **Dismiss**. Any Bedrock shares already minted stay in Base; move them with **Use Bedrock shares instead**.

## Withdrawing and claiming

> **“Nothing to withdraw”**
>
> This wallet holds no Base shares. Check that you connected the wallet you deposited from. To withdraw from Senior or Junior, choose that tranche at the top of the panel.

> **“More than you hold”**
>
> The amount under **You redeem** is in shares, not USDC, and it's more than this wallet holds. The line under the button shows your balance, and **Max** fills it in.

> **“Opens after this cycle”, “Withdrawals paused”, “Requests closed” or “Temporarily unavailable”**
>
> * **Opens after this cycle**: your funds are lent out for the current cycle. Requests reopen when it ends.
> * **Withdrawals paused** or **Requests closed**: the vault isn't accepting withdrawal requests at the moment.
> * **Temporarily unavailable**: the vault's contract was upgraded, and we're re-checking it. Withdrawals are paused here until then.
>
> Try again later.

> **“Handled by recovery”**
>
> The borrower has defaulted, so withdrawals go through the vault's recovery process, outside this page. If you have questions, [contact us](https://docs.blockhouse.app/reference/get-help.md).

> **“KYC/KYB required” on the Redeem tab**
>
> Pareto can switch verification on at any time, and an unverified wallet then can't request or claim a withdrawal. Verify in the panel (see [Verify with Keyring](https://docs.blockhouse.app/vaults/verify-with-keyring.md)), then claim any settled withdrawal.

> **My shares disappeared after I requested a withdrawal**
>
> That's expected: your shares are burned when the request confirms, and the USDC is queued until the next lending cycle completes. Until then, the panel shows **Withdrawing X USDC**, and the queued amount keeps earning.

> **I can't add to my queued withdrawal**
>
> You can add to a queued withdrawal only until the next lending cycle starts, and everything queued then pays out together. After that, the panel shows the queued amount until you can claim it.

> **When will my withdrawal be paid?**
>
> When the next lending cycle completes. The vault manager starts cycles, so there's no fixed number of days. Under **Your position**, **Your requests** shows an estimated date when one is known, with **Remind me** to add it to your calendar.

> **Withdrawing from Senior or Junior gave me shares, not USDC**
>
> A tranche withdrawal pays out in Bedrock shares (pBedrockStrategies) once you execute it after Royco's waiting period. To get USDC, withdraw those shares from Base.

> **A withdrawal or claim stopped partway**
>
> Steps that already confirmed are kept, and the line under the step says why it stopped. If a step is stuck confirming, see [Depositing](https://docs.blockhouse.app/vaults/troubleshooting.md#depositing): the messages are the same, with “withdrawal” or “claim” in place of “deposit”.
