# Trade on the terminal

> Trade on Hyperliquid from your own wallet, with no Blockhouse login.

When you trade on the Blockhouse terminal, your funds stay in your own Hyperliquid account. Blockhouse provides the interface.

> Deposit before you enable trading. Hyperliquid won't approve a trading key for an account that has never held funds.

**1. Connect a wallet**

Connect your wallet and accept the terms. See [Connect a wallet](https://docs.blockhouse.app/trade/connect-a-wallet.md).

**2. Deposit**

Send USDC or another supported token to your deposit address, and it arrives as USDC in your Hyperliquid account. See [Deposit](https://docs.blockhouse.app/trade/deposit.md).

**3. Enable trading**

Sign once to create a trading key, which lasts 7 days, and once to approve routing, which you do once per wallet. See [Enable trading](https://docs.blockhouse.app/trade/enable-trading.md).

**4. Place an order**

Choose a market, set the side, price, size and leverage, then place the order. See [Place an order](https://docs.blockhouse.app/trade/place-an-order.md).
