# LTP and Kraken

> LTP opens the Kraken sub-account and creates its four API keys; you whitelist them and enter them in Blockhouse.

**1. Get your Kraken sub-account and keys**

Ask your LTP account manager to provision a [DMA sub-account](https://docs.blockhouse.app/reference/glossary.md#dma-sub-account) on Kraken for this strategy, with derivatives unlocked and the Unified Wallet enabled, and four separate API keys: a read-only and a trading key for Spot, and the same for Futures.

| Key | Access |
| - | - |
| Spot read-only | Query funds, orders, trades and ledger |
| Spot trading | The same, plus create, modify, cancel and close orders |
| Futures read-only | General API **Read only**, Withdrawal API **No access** |
| Futures trading | General API **Full access**, Withdrawal API **Full access** (to move margin between the Futures and Spot wallets) |

**2. Whitelist and enter the keys**

In the LTP client, open **Account** → **API Management**. On each read-only key, edit its IP whitelist and paste the **Read-only API IPs** from the Blockhouse **Kraken** tab; on each trading key, paste the **Trading API IPs**. Reveal each secret, which LTP shows only once, and paste the keys into Blockhouse:

| Key | Blockhouse fields |
| - | - |
| Spot read-only | **Spot Read-only API Key**, **Spot Read-only Private Key** |
| Spot trading | **Spot Trading API Key**, **Spot Trading Private Key** |
| Futures read-only | **Futures Read-only API Key**, **Futures Read-only Private Key** |
| Futures trading | **Futures Trading API Key**, **Futures Trading Private Key** |

Then tick **IPs are whitelisted for read-only API** and **IPs are whitelisted for trading API**.

**3. Finish in Blockhouse**

Copy the 5-digit **accountId** of your Kraken DMA sub-account from the LTP client, or ask your account manager for it. Use this ID, not the UID Kraken assigns. In Blockhouse, on the **Kraken** tab, enter it in **LTP account ID for Kraken**.

Check that every key field on the tab is filled in and both IP boxes are ticked. Set up any other exchange from the [LTP guide](https://docs.blockhouse.app/open-an-account/connect-your-exchanges/prime-brokers/ltp), then [submit the Credentials step](https://docs.blockhouse.app/open-an-account/connect-your-exchanges).
