# Step 5: Account Configuration

> Confirm each exchange sub-account has the settings the strategy needs.

Set each account mode below on the exchange, then tick it on this step. If you followed your prime broker's guide for each exchange in [Step 4: Credentials](https://docs.blockhouse.app/open-an-account/connect-your-exchanges), they're already set.

| Binance | Yes | Yes | Portfolio Margin Account is enabled |
| Bybit | Yes | N/A (covered by the account type) | Unified Trading Account (UTA) is enabled, with margin mode set to Cross Margin (not Portfolio or Isolated) |
| OKX | Yes | N/A (OKX sets it per order) | Account mode is Multi-currency margin, with Auto-borrow on |
| Bitget | Yes | Yes | Unified Trading Account (UTA) is in Advanced mode |
| Kraken | N/A (Kraken is always one-way) | Yes | Derivatives are unlocked and the Unified Wallet is enabled |

If the step lists different settings for your strategy, follow the step.

Then choose **Continue**.

> Don't change these settings while the strategy is running: switching a mode on the exchange while it trades can disrupt its margin and orders. If a setting needs to change, contact the desk at [support@blockhouse.capital](mailto:support@blockhouse.capital) first.
